The logo and shirt artwork for Téléthon Polynésie 2026 (AFM-Téléthon)
Three years we have dressed this cause. For 2026, the front is built on a taumi, the crescent breastplate a chief wore into battle — you did not put one on to look good, you put it on because you were about to face something. Families living with a genetic disease put one on every morning. We only drew it for them.
The uncoloured version is inspiring too.
The whole piece exists in black and white first. Every band carries its own pattern — plaiting, teeth, spirals, two medallions standing guard either side of a centre that rises out of the plate like a knot nobody can undo. Line work is where a design is honest: if it does not hold without colour, no gradient will save it.
On the back, the helix returns
2025 left us a strand of DNA and we were not done with it. On the back it comes back alive: it winds around the medallion, slips behind the blades, and ties the emblem together instead of sitting on top of it. We wanted to show how Research holds the figure.
One spectrum, on purpose
A single gradient runs across both pieces, red through to violet, and nowhere does it sit flat. A genetic disease is never one disease — there are thousands of them, and the Téléthon funds the whole range. So the drawing carries the whole range. The colour is not there to be pretty, it is there to say how wide the fight is.
Worn, not hung
Front 210 × 105 mm, back 227 × 300 mm — On the chest the breastplate sits where a breastplate sits. On the back the emblem is given room to breathe.
A shirt is not a poster. Somebody wears it all day, then keeps it for years. It has to be worth putting on for the drawing alone — and the cause walks out of the house with it.
